What Does the Dennis Fitzgerald Scholarship Fund do?
The Dennis Fitzgerald Scholarship Fund is a charitable non- profit 501(c) (3). It was established by the Board Members of System High Corporation to honor fellow board member and friend, Mr. Dennis D. Fitzgerald and to celebrate his vision and commitment to excellence. Reflecting one of Dennis' joys and the fact that he was a Master Electrician, the fund provides scholarships to outstanding students pursuing an education or training in the field of electricity.
Our charitable non-profit organization provides monetary scholarships which are eligible to select individuals who are:
- 18 or older; or possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Are enrolled in a Washington D.C. Metro Area school.
- Pursuing an education in the field of electricity.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
The scholarship provides a one-time grant of $2,000 or more to the most outstanding applicant(s) meeting the eligibility requirements. The number of recipients may vary from year to year, and also may depend the amount of charitable donations received within the fund.
